what if any student in IIT didn't read well.should he leave IIT(it means college management will send him home)?
Hey there
In case you'll not be able to clear you degree within maximum permissible period which is generally 7 years then you'll be given NFTE which means not fit for technical education. But nowadays IITs are planning to give bsc certificate to weak students.
Good luck
Dear Rohith, on an average an IIT charges you 8-10 lakhs for the entire course. Let's say you do not study, the management doesn't have to bear the loss because eitherways, you pay the college fees. You are at loss. Not just financially but in every possible way. So paying 10 lakhs and not reading well isn't even a remote option. Just to answer your question, they do not send you home. If you do not pass the subjects, the world moves on but you end up being where you started.
Dear Aspirant,
It is not the case that a student will be send to home. However, if you don't study there the minimum amount required to pass the test, then you will be given backlogs and poor academic performance will lot of backlogs will lead to no placement offers, so eventually you will have to set for home.
Moreover, if you have not a GPA over 7.0, you will not be able to get any good internships also. This will be a very bad thing too , as many students, if they are average in academics but have good internships on their resume make it to good comapanies.
Hope this gives you an idea. Thank you.
