For ISC Class 12, English is a compulsory subject. Failing it means you do not get a passing certificate, even if you pass in all other subjects

You can appear for the compartment/improvement exam in July 2026 to prove you passed this subject. Generally, 35% or 40% marks are required to pass each subject.
