what if I get 100%tile in cat but my academic record is not good ? can institutes select me ?

You knowledge , apptitude, positive attitude and specially your commitment will give you lead.

You must check on news IIM- A selected one student on basis of 89.75 percentile even they have cut off is 90 percentile.
