What if i have backlogs and apply for CAT
Hey Dinesh!
If your total per cent in undergraduate is above 50. And, in case you are from reserved category, it should be above 45. Then, you are eligible to give CAT exam. Backlogs won't be an issue if you clear it. But, getting into top B-schools during GD/ PI round, you need to justify your reason for getting a backlog. In case, you get a backlog. Your chance of getting into MBA colleges, where they don't consider past academic marks is quite good enough. Prepare well and ace it.

As per the basic eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed graduation degree with 50% marks are eligible to apply for CAT 2018. Also, candidates in final year/semester are eligible. A relaxation of 5% marks is awarded to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories.
If you are having backlogs, clear them before the interview round as people with active backlogs (i.e. incomplete bachelor's degree) cannot take admissions.
Hope this helps.
