Hey there
There is no such news till yet and it's not easy too as IITs has to maintain its reputation and thus they have to take exams like jee advanced as IITs are world class institutes. Jee mains on the other hand is totally NCERT syllabus and thus has to maintain it. If they'll get merged it may lead to decline in IITs world ranking and NITs too.
Hope it helps.
JEE main eligibility - candidates must passed or appearing class 12 with physics chemistry and mathematics with minimum 75 percent marks aggregate from a recognized board.
Feel free to comment if you have any doubt

JEE Main and JEE Advanced can't merge with each other. It is not gonna happen unless severe conditions are at play.
- Firstly, JEE Main is conducted by NTA while JEE Advanced is conducted by the old IITs.
- JEE Main is the gateway to many institution in India. While through JEE Advanced a candidate can get admission in all IITs, IISC Bangalore, IIST Thiruvananthapuram.
If the two exams merge then a lot of rules will also change. New set of rules will be needed to make. And it can't be possible for the upcoming year JEE.
