What is analitical chemistry, place and college is available, scope of it ?
Hello friend, both the organic chemistry and analitical chemistry streams have equal opportunities and scope. The only difference is, for analytical chemistry you need to have a sound knowledge of physical chemistry as analytical is a sub branch of physical chemistry. Where as for organic you need to be very strong with Carbon chemistry or you must have a love for it. Both are equally tough and challenging in their own way. Analytical people i think have more varsatile approach and can take up any job profile ,where as for organic chemists R&D is favourite choice. The best option out of all that i can suggest you is teaching, we seriously need some good analytical professors in colleges and universities. There are very few professors teaching analytical chemistry who have their masters in analytical. Try for teaching profession if you take analytical chemistry and R&D if you take organic. Now the best point is , the competition is very tough in organic chemistry as the cream students usually prefer organic than analytical.
