hello ravi,

you have to be clear with all the formulas of the chapter, as this chapter needs more attention as compared to other chapter.

however there are some basic formulas , you can recall this from your school studies as well-

(i) log _a 1 = 0

(ii) log _a a = 1

(iii) a ^{Iog
_a
M} = M

(iv) log _a (MN) = log _a M + log _a N

(v) log _a (M/N) = log _a M - log _a N

(vi) log _a M ⁿ = n log _a M

(vii) log _a M = log _b M × log _a b

(viii) log _b a × log _a b = 1

(ix) 10g _b a = 1/log _a b

(x) log _b M = 1og _a M/log _a b
