Hi Sandeep,
Many plans online, such as khanacademy and prepscholar, are completely wastes of time. There is no reason to pay for a tutor, and you should never do so.
Buy these two books:
SAT Elite 1600, 2nd Edition
The Official SAT Study Guide, 2016 Edition
These two books, if used correctly, will easily let you replicate my successes. Follow these steps:
- Pass Algebra and English II with a C or above. This will provide a solid basis for knowledge. (You will need to know trig functions, so if you have taken trig, use it to your advantage.)
- Buy the books
- Take one practice test. I can’t stress how imperative this is. There is no point in studying the whole book if you already know 60 percent of the material.
- Use the Official first, and after absorbing all the information you can, take another practice test. Your score should improve moderately.
- Switch to the Elite. This will help fine-tune your skills, and I would advise reading the entirety of it. It is much shorter than the official, and has helpful tips to success.
- Halfway through this book, take another test. Hopefully, your score will improve.
- After finishing the book, skim through the information again, and take your final test. Hopefully, this reaches your goal.
