Hello Vipin,
With self-study, you can get a good rank in GATE.
- Get standard books for all subjects of your branch.
- Start with a subject, at first study it with standard book thoroughly ( gate syllabus only) and solve questions given in the exercises. These exercises are important because now NAT questions are asked in Gate.
- Solve MCQs from any question bank( for ECE and EE, you can choose kanodia). And solve previous year Gate papers and objective papers of IES.
- To increase grasp on the concept refer handwritten notes. Follow this procedure with all the subjects.
- Join two test series. You can join Made easy and Ace. Try to attempt most of the tests.
- Make short notes for each subject. Short notes should be relevant to Gate. Write formulas and key points in it. Don't write facts in it because factual questions are not asked in Gate.
- Try to revise these short notes daily. This will keep you in touch with the subjects which you have completed.
- Try to maintain a high level of motivation from the first day till the last day of your exam. Avoid social media as much as possible.
Good luck!

Assuming all your concepts are clear, because this is the important step to outline the preparation then next step to be taken is to have correct preparation material. Once you are done with that better to focus on previous year papers, sample papers and after getting good grip in your syllabus, start giving online mocks as much as you can.
And the most important part is dont be in rush and be confident.
Good Luck!!!
