Biotechnology is a research oriented science, a combination of Biology and Technology this programme covers a wide variety of subjects like Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology, Chemistry and Engineering.
It is a good field to choose but It depends on your interests and career plan. If you do Masters in this field then you will have more opportunities. Some options are available for getting a job in the area of Production control or Quality Analyst in organizations such as Biocon, , You should be really good with your basics on concepts such as Fermentation technology, Bio-remediation etc.
