Cardiac arrest is the abrupt loss of heart function, breathing and consciousness. Without prompt intervention, it can result in the person's death. The main symptom is loss of consciousness and unresponsiveness.

Cardiac arrest is when the heart malfunctions and suddenly stops beating unexpectedly and therefore it comes abruptly.
