Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - It occurs due to compression of median nerve due to reduced size of carpal tunnel.

It may happen due to

Inflamation or thickening of the the synovial sheaths of the flexor tendons(Tenosynivitis)
due to repeat stress injury or Inflamation of flexor retinaculum
arthritis of carpal bones.
