Department of English, Delhi University, conducts an entrance test every year - DU CATE Exam. The test is also known as Delhi University Common Aptitude Test for English. The University conducts this entrance test for the admission of students to its undergraduate level programme BA (Hons) English. The entrance test is conducted at 12 affiliated colleges of the University.

Are the exams held in colleges of Delhi university only and nowhere else in the rest of India ?

CATE stands for Common Aptitude Test for English and is also called DU CATE because its conducted by Delhi University at its 12 affiliated colleges. This is an entrance exam for the undergraduate programme.
