Hi,

If a candidate fails in one subject in class 12th examination, then he or she can appear for a re-examination in the very same year. This re examination for the subject in which a candidate failed is the compartment exam.

A private candidate is the one who gives board examination not through any educational institute and do not have regular schooling , rather they give exam as an independent candidate.
