what is copyright and licensing?

Copyright is a Intellectual Property right for the creators of art, books or any artistic work. It grants the creator very specific legal rights and remedies. As soon as the creator creates something automatically copyright is initiated. The creator does not need to do anything. While a Licence is a legal document. Unlike copyright, licence does not apply automatically one needs to apply for it. It grants users of the software specific, and limited, rights.

Whereas, licensing is referred to as, a type of business arrangement, wherein, a company gives another company the permission to manufacture their products for a specific payment value.
