What is difference in electrical engineering and ece
Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well!
Now let's go through your question.
Electrical Engineering:
It is the study and application of electrical systems for use in different environments and contains basic electronic courses and more power system.
Electronics and communication engineering:
Here you will deal with Electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. Also it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems.
Mainly electrical graduates are employed in Electricity Boards/Utility companies responsible for installation, maintenance, operation of power handling equipment and systems. Industries manufacturing large electrical machines and equipment employ engineers in design, production and testing.
An electronics engineer can find a job in Central Government, State Governments and their sponsored corporations, private industries dealing in manufacture, sales and services of electronics consumer goods and appliances. Additionally, electronics engineers are also absorbed into the broadcast industry, research establishments, and defence.
Thank You & All the best!
Hello Mehul
EEE is like a mother branch and ECE is sort of derived from it. Both have a number of similar subjects. Their dissimilarity lies in that Ece has major focus on semiconductor, transistor,op-amp, microprocessor etc. EEE also touches these domains but maybe not as deeply. ECE also has communication subjects like DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING, Analog signal processing ,satellite communication etc, whereas EEE has subject on motors,Transformers,Grid lines etc (I don't know much about EEE subjects that are taught). So you can choose according to your aligned interests
2. This also depends upon the college you are going to join and the faculty there and which stream gets better placements and packages. (coz nowadays stream doesn't matter much until and unless you're joining a core company which specifically requires your skill sets and knowledge in a particular domain. And most of us end up in IT industry)
Hello Mehul,
EEE-EEE actually goes deeper than just "motors & generators". You also learn more about electromagnetics & how high-frequency signals operate - this is the black-magic that's required to design computer & wireless Systems, one can make more money as an EEE.
ECE: Here, it deals with Electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. Also it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems.
As far as scope is concerned, both EEE and ECE are evergreen branches. ECE students can get into IT sectors easily, while the demand of EEE students is high in core companies.
Hope it helps!!!
Hello,Mehul
Electrical Engineering is that branch of Engineering which deals with the study of application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Trained electrical engineers design electric circuits and equipment. They work on large power plants as well in small hardware companies which includes designing, manufacturing and operating power plants, industrial machinery, electrical motors, computer chips and ignition systems for automobiles, aircrafts, space crafts and all kinds of engines.
Electrical Engineering is spread across a range of specialties such as acoustics, speech, signal processing to electromagnetic compatibility, automobiles to vehicular technology, geo-science and remote sensing, laser and electro-optics, robotics, ultra-sonic, ferroelectrics and frequency control.
Hope this helps.
Electronics & Communication
Engineering deals with the electronic devices, circuits, communication
equipments like transmitter, receiver, integrated circuits (IC). It also
deals with basic electronics, analog and digital transmission &
reception of data, voice and video (Example AM, FM, DTH),
microprocessors, satellite communication, microwave engineering,
antennae and wave progression. It aims to deepen the knowledge and
skills of the students on the basic concepts and theories that will
equip them in their professional work involving analysis, systems
implementation, operation, production, and maintenance of the various
applications in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering.
