Hello!!
In India, the demand for Professional Education is veryhigh, and available seats in Government Colleges are very few .So Government has allowed Private Institutions to set up Professional Colleges, with the condition that a cerain number of seats be reserved for Merit quota students and the remaining seats are allowed to be fille by the Managements, who charge higher fees to such students.

Management quota is a set of reserved seats in private universities. these are done so that talented students who failed to clear the exams, have an opportunity to pursue their dream engineering branch.
The administrative people are allocated a certain fraction of the seats in each department and they can recommend the students whom they know for these seats. It was started as a means to popularise the engineering college as it was expected that due to heavy number of colleges coming up, the supply will soon overpower demand and the colleges will fail.
However, it turned out that these administrative peoplesellthe seats to students who want it. Its also called donation.
for extra money donated to college, a student gets his/her desired branch.

It is like direct admission process in colleges.
It is reserved for those people who actually didn't qualify the eligibility criteria for getting a seat into the college but are willing to spend two or four times the actual fee of the college .
