What is management quota ? Is it legal ? Is there any specific authority who deal admissions through management quota in good B-schools.

The college has tied up with universities in India, the United States, Germany, South Korea and Singapore. The college has twinning programs with many institutions including Konyang University, South Korea University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee; West Virginia University; University of Missouri; Lamar University, all in the United States, Aachen University and University of Muenster in Germany; ISMANS, France;[11] University of Sydney and University of Wollongong, both in Australia.The college also has ties with the Kuvempu University, Shimoga; and Mangalore University.

In 2007, RVCE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IT company Cognizant Technology Solutions to strengthen industry-academia partnership. In October 2009, Pace Embedded Systems opened a Embedded Systems lab at RVCE to train the students in Digital Television and Embedded Systems. The college also has industrial interactions with companies like ABB, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), DELL, WIPRO, Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) and the Indian Railways.

The college offers placement on campus for its students. A few of the companies which have visited the college for campus placements are Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Dell, Delphi, Intel, Yahoo, IBM, Caterpillar, Accenture, ABB, Citrix, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Quest Global and Sasken.

• The hot race for seats makes the task of getting admission tough. Bangalore offer admission via other sources besides only on merit. For instance, Management Quota admission in college can be sought by those students who do not clear on merit.
• Under Direct admission , the student should have passed XII standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects - Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology. They should have secured 50% aggregate marks.

Management Quota technically means that the managing committee of each institute reserves some seats which they can allot to candidates of their choice even if they don't come by the standard admission route. This is there to allow for outliers or special cases who can appeal to the Management of each institute.
Management quota is not there in most of the top institutes or the government institutes.
There is no common authority to deal with management quota for all B-Schools.
