Hey there,
When it says Bachelor or equivalent it means for whatever post, job or Institute your are applying for you are eligible if you have a Bachelors degree
Like any degree which is done mostly after HSC, mostly starting with B like.. B. Tech, B. E, BBA, BCA, B. A, B. COM etc. All are eligible for the post, job or institute you are applying for.

Hi bro , I am ravindra thelu , I am applying master program in organizational psychology which is under psychology department : in australia , for accepting of admission ; they are asking the applicant should have the undergraduate degree in psychology or its equivalent , but i dont have psychology acadmics in my bachelors ; my question is what is meant by equivalent ? , whether my bachelor degree in engineering will be considered as equivalent ?How can get my application will be approved for the admission

When it says "or equivalent" it means the employer is looking for a Bachelors degree or any amount of experience, knowledge, and skills that will enable you to perform the tasks of the job proficiently.

Bachelor degree means you need to acquire a degree in 3 or 4 year course it can be anything like BBA,BCOM,BA,BSC or BTECH depending upon your choose. On the other hand equivalent means to need to have the equal amount of experience in terms of knowledge , skills from any of the respective degree which can be used in place of degree.

For example, in Norway it was normal to do a college degree that was slightly shorter than a modern bachelors degree, and then some would proceed to further studies, after which they had a degree that was midway between a bachelors and a masters. These can safely apply for a job requiring a bachelors degree or equivalent, even though they have no bachelors degree.
