Economically Weaker Section (EWS) is a subcategory of people belonging to the General Category having an annual family income less than 8 lakhs and who do not belong to any category such as SC/ST/OBC/MBC(Tamil Nadu). The benefit of reservation underEWSin jee can be availed by the candidates by production of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.
