counselling refers to allocation of a seat in a particular college. It takes place online and the for the verification one has to go to any nearby common institute or the main college itself.
Moreover counselling is can be done for two different types, for state and for all India. This is the case for JEE MAINS whereas for ADVANCE it's AI .
In state, the students who gave exam from their own state are elgible for the state counselling and gets benefit for the same whereas for other state they are under all India seats.
