Neonatal resuscitation is the resuscitation of a newborne child who is born with the medical condition of having lack of oxygen during delivery (birth asphyxia). This is also, therefore, known as newborn resuscitation. Majority of child deaths is caused due to birth asphyxia.

Before a baby is born, the placenta provides oxygen and nutrition to the blood and removes carbon dioxide.Resuscitation is helping with Airway, Breathing, and Circulation, also known as the ABCs.
