Oncology is the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. This can be done as a specialisation with either DM or MD and complete the course to become an oncologist. There are two subdivisions of oncology: medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology.
