Can I get DM Medical oncology in private or deemed university in rank 1459 in NEET SS 2025

Isha Garg 26th Feb, 2026

If you have NEETSS 2025 rank 1459, securing a seat in DM Medical Oncology is highly unlikely in most private or deemed universities. The qualifying percentile for NEETSS is around 50%, but actual admission cutoffs for Medical Oncology are much higher, with closing ranks in top government and private institutes

For a rank of 6906 in inicet july 2025 what are the chances of getting a clinical branch in spot allotment. And which branches are likely to get ? Anesthesia or radiation oncology which hold more chance ?

Abhilasha Agrawal 25th Jul, 2025

With a 6,906 INI CET rank, you are well beyond the closing rank thresholds for both Anaesthesiology (≈1,000 AIR) and Radiation Oncology (≈300–500 AIR) in clinical branches. Unfortunately, securing either specialty in spot allotment is highly unlikely.

Can Inicet rank 6906 get a radiation oncology seat in spot councelling ?

gopi 10th Jun, 2025

Hello Aiswarya,

In previous years trends, an INI-CET rank of 6906 would hold little chance of obtaining a Radiation Oncology seat in spot counseling. It however depends on following factors:

  • Availability of seats in this year.
  • Choices/preferences of higher-ranked candidates.
  • Number of seats remaining after regular rounds.
