In order to get into NITs and IITs you need to have a percentage of more than 75 that is you should have more than 475 marks in the 12th boards examinations if you are from general category. For SC or ST candidates you need to have more than 75% marks. You are also elegible if you are in the top 20 percentile. Hope this helps.
