what is percentile system can you explain me
Dear Aspirant
A percentile is a comparison score between a particular score(you ) and the scores of the rest of a group(the other students gave same exam ). It shows the percentage of scores that a particular score surpassed
For example =If a child's weight is at the 50th percentile line, that means that out of 100 normal children her age, 50 will be bigger than she is and 50 smaller. Similarly, if she is in the 75th percentile , that means that she is bigger than 75 children and smaller than only 25, compared with 100 children her age.
I hope it helps
Thank you
Hello aspirant,
A percentile is a comparison score between a particular score and the scores of the rest of a group. It shows the percentage of scores that a particular score surpassed. For example, if you score 7575 points on a test, and are ranked in the 8585 th percentile, it means that the score 7575 is higher than 85%85% of the scores.
The percentile rank is calculated using the formula
R=P/100(N)
where P is the desired percentile and N is the number of data points.
Hope this helps you
All the best for your future
