The placement average or percentage of students placed for M.Sc Chemistry depends on the college from which you are pursuing your Master's. The placement opportunities for an M.Sc Chemistry student are many with Pharmaceutical companies, forensic science laboratories, analytical firms, petrochemicals industries etc being the biggest employers. Usually, if you are admitted in a good college, the placement can be achieved through the placement cell of the college only and the average placement depending on the college and the job profile. Usually, the pharmaceutical companies, field of intellectual property rights and analytical firms provide the higher salary per annum ranging in between 8-12 lacs per annum for a good institute, of course. So , if you are pursuing Master's from a good IIT or DU, then you may get an average package of 8-10 lacs per annum and usually almost all the students get placed in these good institutes through the college only.
