After qualifying JEE Main , the way to become a professor at IIT is long. Candidates have to first obtain B.Tech degree which should be followed by M.Tech and PhD. Also, Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in an academic institution.

Becoming profesors at IITs is very long process after qualifying jee.

After jee you have to complete 4 year btech and then qualify gate for Mtech at any good college or even you can go abroad. After Mtech you need to do phd. After getting doctrate degree you can apply for vaccancy as assistant profesors at IITs.

To become a professor, you need to have a total of 10 years of experience, of which you need to have a minimum of 4 years of experience as an Associate Professor or a designation in an equivalent position. The experience can be in the fields of teaching or research or it can also be industrial.

To be eligible for the post of an Associate Professor, you must have a total experience of 6 years, of which three years of experience should be in the post of an Assistant Professor or in an equivalent position.
