What is production engineering? What are the future prospects of it and which University will give the best placements?
Hii
Production and Industrial engineering is derived from mechanical engineering with blend of chemical and electrical engineering. The primary aim is to conver raw materials into finish good.
The market for production engineering is saturated for now and will increase if india wiill becomes global manufacturing hub. And there are job scope as well as research scope in production engineering. You can get job in PSUs, tatasteel, and many other manufacturing companies.
Best college for this are Older IITs and top NITs. Never go for production engineering form low grade private college.
Hope it helps
Hi there,
Production engineering is branch of engineering which deals with the stuffs quite similar to mechanical engineering, like vehicles, levers pulleys etc.
Production engineering has not a good scope in India as it is often called as Jr. Mechanical engineering in the colleges.
Still if get this branch in the TOP IITs like Delhi, Mumbai or Kanpur etc then go for it other wise no use to opting this branch.
I hope this help
