Oriental University is a university in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was established in 2011.Oriental University is spread over 100 acres on Indore-Ujjain highway near international airport and new proposed railway station. The University is designed by M/S Hafeez Contractor of Mumbai.
After having established nine professional colleges (five engineering, one advanced computer application, two pharmacy and one management studies) the Oriental Group, recognized as a premier educational group of Central India and enjoying national ranking, the founders of Devi Shakuntala Thakral Charitable Foundation, have set up Oriental University, established by an act of Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha under Section 2f of UGC Act, 1956. Oriental University is the first self-funded private university in Indore.

It is rated 3.7/5 by career360. The Oriental Institute of Science and Technology is one of the pioneer and leading institutions for engineering aspirants in the central India region. It is ranked amongst the top 10 private colleges in Madhya Pradesh state.The crowd here is very nice with students mostly from local areas apart from those you will find finest minds from U.P and Bihar mainly. The college has a well-spread campus and the campus is one of the oldest engineering campuses of Bhopal. All the facilities in the college are one of the best in Bhopal city and are at par with its competitors There are many events both cultural and technical that take place in the college and are quite good in lieu of the college standards The college has a dedicated floor for library and computer lab which is quite nice, the infrastructure remains old though which is needed to be improved. Oriental Institute of Science and Technology is strict about the attendance. The college not only imposes fines but also summons parents of those defaulting. Students having really poor attendance are made to submit fines you will have to give money to management without your consent for stupid things like registration for the semester. The campus has one canteen and that is good for its food quality. The college is a strict with its rules and regulations and discipline needs to be maintained, otherwise the strict action is taken.The College produces many of the university toppers. Placement records are high and with nice package received by the students.
