I presume you're asking this question in the context of IGNOU for MA Psychology course, re-registration is basically taking admission for subsequent semester or year depending upon the nature of the program, MA Psychology is generally for a duration of two years , hence there is no semester-wise approach here, once you take admission you will be required to re-register for second year and this is important to do in time (irrespective of the fact that whether you're appearing in the next TEE as there is flexibility offered in distance learning) because that will results in lapses in terms of submission of assignments or appearing for Term End Exam, so re-registration on time always important.
