Sludge is the residue that accumulates in sewage treatment plants.It is the solid, semisolid or slurry material that is produced as the byproduct of waste treatment process.It can be classified as primary and secondary sludge. Sludge is a thick, soft, wet mud like or semi solid substance which is produced from various industrial processes. Most of the sludge is produced from Waste water treatment or sanitation work or from Refining processes etc. Ozone and Chlorine - these two are the heavily used chemicals as primary disinfectant. These chemicals are the most commonly used chemical to disinfect water.
