What is "ssc" written just beside the branch names of various colleges, during counselling process..??

Hello there,
SSC means Staff Selection Commission.
They conduct exams to recruit people in various offices, posts and organisations of the government of India. Different subjects under the SSC category are: geography, economy, algebra and so on... Where mathematics is an important subject to clear SSC exams. It is conducted in 4 tiers.
