What is syllabus for JAM in Biotechnology?
Hi,
JAM Biotechnology (BT) test paper will consist of a total of four papers including Biology with 44% weightage, Chemistry with 20% weightage, and Mathematics and Physics, each with 18% weightage from total marks.
The Biology section will cover topics like General Biology, Biochemistry and Physiology, Basic Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Microbiology;
Chemistry covers Atomic Structure; Bohr’s theory and Schrodinger wave equation; Periodicity in properties; Chemical bonding; Properties of s, p, d and f block elements; Complex formation etc;
Mathematics includes topics like Sets, Relations and Functions, Mathematical Induction, Logarithms, Complex numbers, Linear and Quadratic equations, Sequences and Series, Trigonometry, Cartesian System of Rectangular Coordinates, Straight lines and Family etc, and;
Physics includes topics like Physical World and Measurement, Elementary Statics and Dynamics, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Electrostatics, Current electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current etc.
