It is done to make customers aware about the product and educating them about the same.
Telemarketing is a whole campaign, spreading the vision of your business and ensuring its attributes are made aware to potential or existing clients.
Telemarketing is a service that creates interest, generates opportunities, offers information, makes appointments, avails customer feedback and produces leads over the telephone.
Telesales is a service that directly sells your services/products to a prospective customer over the telephone.
You can also combine telemarketing and telesales, wherein one service will generate a pool of potential leads, while the other will turn those leads into sales. While the telemarketers set up the appointments, the telesales team will close the deal.

Telemarketing is method in which the person sells the product directly to the customers mostly through the telephone calls sometimes you have faced someone calling you to buy a particular product doctor this is a good example of telemarketing and the cells which is done through this process is called telesales.
It takes lot of time to collect data of potential customers so if some company has that data then they can call the potential customers and sell the product it is called telesales where is if you want to learn something or let people know through telephones of face to face it is called telemarketing so telesales is a product of telemarketing
