what is the area code of my location
Dear,
AO Codes can easily be found on government-authorised PAN websites. Follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Identify if you qualify as a salaried individual, non-salaried individual or a non-individual applicant.
Step 2: Select the residential/office address based on the criteria you meet.
Step 3: AO Code lists are available on both the NSDL website and the UTIITSL website
Step 4: You can search your city by alphabet on the website. Choose the city and read the description/jurisdiction.
Step 5: Find one that matches your office area/company type/profession/income. Make a note of the Area Code, AO Type, Range Type and the AO Number and you shall have your AO Code.
Hope this helps!
