If you are just beginning with the CAT preparation you should know that one cannot take mastery in the Varc portion in just one month or two, you have to devote at least 1 hour at the beginning of your preparation to the Varc. You should know the syllabus, exam pattern because people generally start their preparation randomly and after some time find themselves unable to score well in mocks which is why it becomes important for you to do your preparation strategically from the beginning itself. You have to consider all the sections equal because even if you miss the sectional cutoff of one of the sections by 1 percentile you won't be able to get a call.
