For doing almost any type of Engineering, there is no better place in India than the old IITs like Kanpur, Delhi, Bombay.
Some other colleges can be considered equally good like BITS, BIT Mesra, Jadavpur University, Anna University.
These colleges should be your prime focus if you want to do any type of Engineering.
