It is nothing but your Application ID.I have confirmed this by calling MCC directly.Go ahead with your applicationID as your confirmation no.

It is unclear. whether it is application number or we have to enter the roll number again we dont know.

Chakri:I wanted to apply only for all India in R1 , deemed in R2 , how to register now? Shall i select both now itself or is there any chance to register for deemed registration after R1?
