what is the difference between BCOM(h) and BCOM programme?
Dear Deepak,
B.Com (Hons) is an undergraduate degree designed to inculcate business acumen in students. The course also enables educational avenues like CA/CMA/CS. It prepares students to be well equipped for areas like Financial Analysis/Portfolio Analysis / Banking / Insurance etc and provides a deep insight into each subject.
Whereas a regular B.Com (//B.Com) course provides an overview of all the subjects taught in the honours course.
Universities like DU, IP University, IILM University Gurugram provide B.Com (//B.Com) (Hons). At IILM University, the focus of the program is to provide applied knowledge on new age concepts like Fintech, Environmental Accounting, Bitcoin, Blockchain etc.
Hope this helps!
(//B.Com)
B.com Hons and b.com courses are slightly similar to each other. The only difference being in the depth of the subjects taught in the two. B.com deals with general studies of all the subjects related to commerce. But, b.com Hons gives you a chance to study the subjects in details and get a specialisation in a subject. It also includes some extra subjects such as corporate accounting, corporate law, management, e- commerce, computer application etc.,
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
