What is the difference between B.Pharm and Pharm.D?

B pharm is a 4 years duration course and pharm D is a 6 years duration course.B pharm is a industry oriented and research course.pharmd D focuses on fundamental concepts of pharmacy,clinical pharmacy, healthcare studies, pharmacy practice and pharamaceutical care.B pharmacy focuses on research,general pharmacy studies, quality control and drug manufacturing.Pharm d graduates have an great demand in other countries and these countries o ffers high paid jobs for pharm d graduates.B pharmacy graduates may go for M pharmacy or Pharm D.Hope this information helps you.

Bpharm is generally bachelor degree of pharmacy. Which was 4 yrs course. It's mainly research and industrial oriented course. It mainly focused on drugs manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, research. And you can do it after passing 12th Only.

And PharmD mainly focused on fundamental concepts of clinical pharmacy, health care pharmacy. You can study it after 12th but it's good to study after Bpharm. But in India PharmD is not popular right now but in abroad a wide scope is available in pharmD.

And remind that PharmD and Dpharm both are different.

D pharmacy is diploma of pharmacy which is 2 years course .mostly the people who just want a license for doing the business related to medical profession like medical store do this.

B pharmacy is a bachelor of pharmacy which is 4 year course where you come to know about each every disease the medicine ,their preparation which gives a good scope to work in company or you can also do a masters and go abroad where you a have plenty of opportunities.
