What is the difference between B.tech in instrumentation engineering and B.tech in electronics and instrumentation engineering? Which has more scope?
Hello Student!
B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering mainly focuses on measurement systems, sensors, process control, automation, and industrial instrumentation.
B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (E&I) combines instrumentation with electronics, including electronic circuits, microcontrollers, embedded systems, and control systems.
In terms of scope, both have good career opportunities. E&I can offer slightly broader options because it covers both electronics and instrumentation, but the better choice depends on your interests, college, syllabus, and placement.
Hi
Btech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering-
It is the field of engineering which combines the study of electronics part for sensing the different instrumentation engineering. Various job profiles that can be bagged by an Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering graduate are Instrumentation Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Instrumentation and Control Technician, Electrical R & D Engineer, Automation Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, etc.Top Recruiting Companies are BHEL, BEL, NTPC, ONGC, DRDO, ISRO, HAL, GE, L&T, Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, Cairn India, Siemens, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture, Amazon etc.Average salary package- INR 2,00,000 – 10,00,000
Btech In Instrumentation
BTech Instrumentation Engineering involves teaching how to design, make, test, monitor and maintain instruments. These instruments are used in machinery in different industries like power, water, solar etc. The course has elements of Electrical and Electronics Engineering..The average placement package for BTech Instrumentation Engineering is in the range of INR 2 to 12 LPA.Upon graduation, one can get hired as Instrumentation Engineer, Instrumentation and Control Engineer, Automation Engineer, Testing and Quality Maintenance Engineer, Professor etc.Top Recruiting Companies are GAIL, SAIL, BHEL, IOCL etc
Both of them are good and promises best career opportunities.
Dear applicant both has equal scopes , B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering deals with field deals with the creation, building and maintenance of measuring and control devices and systems found in manufacturing plants whereas B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering deals with Transducers, integrated circuits, design of instruments and industrial instrument management and many more. So both has placements with salary packages 5-6 LPA as a fresher Package.
Good luck!!
