What is the difference between mha given from aiims delhi and the one given by ISB except the time duration?
Dear Nimesh
Besides the difference in the time duration of Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) program of AIIMS New Delhi and Advanced Management Healthcare Programme of ISB, there are several other differences which change the essence of the programs and expertise thus developed after you complete the programme.
- Eligibility: AIIMS do not allow any non-medical applicant to apply for the course of MHA, while ISB prefer doctors but it also allows candidates from entrepreneurship backgrounds, etc. AIIMS only allow those non medical candidates to apply for MHA under sponsored category. So, if you do not hold an MBBS degree, you can go for the degree offered by ISB. While both are reputed institutes, at AIIMS you will study the course with doctors so naturally the technicalities of administration and management will be healthcare specific at every point of time; while ISB certification will give knowledge of hospital administration and management, the technicalities will not be very in-depth.
- Certification vs. Degree: AIIMS New Delhi offers a degree programme while ISB gives certification programme, so you will not be able to go for further degrees or be considered at par with a postgraduate with ISB Degree.
- Fee: Fee at ISB is higher than AIIMS New Delhi.
Hope it gives you a basic overview of the two degrees.
Good Luck!
