See EWS quota is nothing but a reservation quota as similar to that of OBC/SC/ST, our government has decided to provide reservation to those aspirants who are poor and belongs to general category so here EWS means Economically Weaker Section in General category. There are also different cut-offs for General category as well as for Gen-EWS category. Normally cut-offs for all reservation categories are quite lesser as compared to that of General category but in some colleges EWS category has cut-offs slightly higher that that of general category. There is not much difference in cut-offs marks but it is around 30-40 marks or in sone colleges even 5-10 marks.
Now note that all above data is on the basis of previous years cut-offs and cut-off are tend to change evry year depending upon numerous factors.
