The eligibility criteria for JEE is almost nothing just normally totally you have 3 attempts to write the mains and 2 attempts for Advance. You will be eligible to write JEE mains when you are in 12th or when you will passed out.

To be eligible for JEE mains 2019 you must have passed your 12th board. And it is mandatory that you have taken 5 subjects in class XII or equivalent qualifying exam which are
1-Language, 2-Physics, 3-Mathematics, 4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject), 5-Any other subject.
You must be born on or after 2003 to be eligible to appear in JEE MAINS.
