Actuaries evaluate, manage and advise on financial risks. They use their knowledge of business and economics, together with their understanding of probability theory, statistics and investment theory etc.
Career prospects are very good. Insurance companies, health insurance companies, actuarial consulting firms as well as actuarial back offices like WNS, Mercer etc.are the places where you can work.
