hello aspirant..,

The average package for all the nine B. Tech branches is around 9.5 Lakhs and the highest domestic package is Rs 42 lakh offered by DE Shaw from Hyderabad. In 2018, more than 92% of UG students were placed and around 270 companies participated in the final placements. The final placements for the year 2019 have already begun and more than 80% of the batch is already placed. there is a placement cell in NITK known as Career Development Centre (CDC) that is engrossed in inviting companies to hire students and develop soft skills in the students to prepare them for the industry. the average package offered for EEE and ECE branch range between 9-10 LPA. For CSE branch, an average package of 10-13 LPA (approx) is offered and for civil engineering, the average package goes up to 6 LPA. Go with CSE if you are looking for decent package. Its sure shot that you will get a job, If you are from CSE backgroung. If focused on government engineering jobs, then go for Mechanical, electrical or civil.

The placement cell of NITK (Surathkal) did a 100% placements in 2019 in BTech and 79% placements in MTech. The highest package this year was 39 LPA and the Average Package was 14.15 LPA.Some of the companies which visit the institute for recruitment are Amazon ,Hexagon,Philips,Axis Bank ,Honeywell ,Qualcomm,Bajaj,JSW,Samsung,CITI Bank,John Deere,Sprinklr,Caterpillar,KPIT Tata Motors,Dell,L&T,UTC Aerospace,Deloitte,Uber,Deutche Bank,Maruti ,Suzuki etc..
