There are two different layers proposed by the central government of India and same thing is also followed in Karnataka, income limit is 8 lakh rupees per annum layers are classified as follow:

- Creamy layer : if your income is more than 8 lakh rupees per annum.
- Non creamy layer: if your income is less than 8 lakh rupees per annum.
