what is the minimum percentile to take a average branch in good NIT (I am in OBC category)

Cut off will be different for each NIT and branch.Considering previous year cut off if you score 95 or above percentile you have decent chances of getting a seat in a branch and NIT of your choice.Cut off may change depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available.

I hope you are doing well. To get a avg. branch like mechanical, civil, chemical in Top NITs like NIT allahabad you need a percentile of 97.5-98 which will be enough for getting a decent branch in top NIT even if you apply through other state quota . It would be great if you have home state quota for a good NIT or your state has a good NIT then you can get admission in that NIT with a great branch using home state quota. Because seats for other state candidate is quite less in a respective NIT.

To get admission in National Institute of Technology (NITs) by jee mains for obc category the minimum percentile is  97.8 (for top branches)  and to get admission in other branches it should be 93 at least.

Cut off percentile may vary depending on the colleges.
