Each question will carry 4 marks. 1 mark will deducted for every wrong attempt. If no response is indicated, no marks will be deducted.

As per the marking scheme of JEE Main:

4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer
There is negative marking. For an incorrect attempt, 1 mark will be deducted.
The question paper of JEE Main will include 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Each section will have 30 objective questions, for a total of 90 questions.
